Carol Lilley holds the interim Chair position on the Board of the Social Research Centre (SRC) and serves as a Non-Executive Director of ANU Enterprise Pty Ltd, the holding company of SRC. She also chairs the ANUE Audit and Risk Committee. As a full-time independent board director and member of the Audit and Risk Committee, Carol brings extensive experience to the table.
Previously, she held the position of Partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers Canberra for nearly two decades, specialising in financial statement audit and internal audit. Her expertise lies in governance and assurance, including project management and risk management, with a specific focus on government operations.
Over the past decade, Carol has served in various roles on both private sector and government boards. She is actively involved in several audit and risk committees within the utilities, Commonwealth and ACT Government sectors. Carol holds qualifications including a Graduate degree from the Australian Institute of Company Directors and is a Fellow of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand. She was also a registered company auditor and holds certification as an internal auditor.
