The Australian Internet Usage Survey is developed by RMIT and Swinburne University, funded by Telstra. It is part of a long-term study that has been examining Australia’s internet usage since 2016. Survey results will be used by government, business, community organisations and advocacy groups. The findings inform the development of policies, programs and services to ensure everyone can benefit from using the internet.

For results to be accurate, representative, and reflective of the views of different groups in our society, we need participation from as many households as possible, especially those who do not use the internet.
You can complete the survey online or in paper form. To complete the survey online, scan the QR code or enter the survey link provided in the letter we mailed to you into your web browser. If you do not have access to the internet, or are otherwise unable to complete the survey online, you can wait to receive a hardcopy version of the survey by mail. You can then complete the survey on paper and return it using the reply-paid envelope provided. Submitting the survey online or in paper form indicates your consent to participate.
