Victorian Early Childhood Services Research

Client: Victorian Department of Education and Training

The Social Research Centre is currently conducting research with parents on behalf of the Victorian Department of Education and Training. We are keen to understand how parents of children aged 1-3 have been affected by recent reforms to early childhood services.

These services include:

  • Maternal and Child Health Nurses
  • Supported playgroups

What’s involved

We’re looking to speak with up to 40 parents of children aged 1-3 who have accessed either of these services. Participation will involve a 60-minute face to face or telephone interview with one of our interviewers, at a time that is convenient for you during late July to early September 2019.

We would also like to speak with you again – once in 2020 and once in 2021 to understand your experiences of early childhood services over time. Participation in these interviews is voluntary and you may withdraw at any time.

For each face to face interview you will receive an $85 Coles Group & Myer gift card, or a $60 gift card if it’s a phone interview to thank you for your time.
