Public Health Survey
The Social Research Centre are conducting a research study for an important public health agency. The survey is being conducted in all Australian states except for Western Australia.
(Please click on the headings below to reveal further information)
The research is about an important public health campaign. In September/October this year we conducted the first survey and we are now conducting this follow-up survey. Because survey questions ask about awareness of the public health issue and campaign, details of the campaign and the public health agency involved cannot be revealed to respondents until after survey completion.
The results of this survey will be used to help improve health and related services and programs.
If you are being contacted for the follow-up survey it’s because you participated in the first survey in September/October. For the first survey, your phone number was randomly generated by computer. We find this is the best way to obtain a representative sample to make sure we get opinions from a wide range of people.
The Do Not Call Register is for telemarketers who are trying to sell you something or get you to donate to charity. It does not apply to people who are only collecting opinions and conducting research.
The survey will take about 15 minutes to complete, depending on your answers. If you would prefer to participate in the survey at a time more convenient for you, this can be arranged. We can re-schedule an interview time with you anytime between now and Sunday 16th December 2018.
The survey is entirely voluntary, but your cooperation is important in order to get an accurate understanding of the public’s awareness of the health campaign
Any information you provide will be completely confidential and your answers will not be identified as individual responses. Responses are used for research purposes only and are treated in strict confidence. No other agency or department will have access to your details. All information provided is protected by strict Commonwealth and State privacy laws.
If you have any questions about your participation in the survey or would like to make a time for an interviewer to call you, please call The Social Research Centre on 1800 023 040 (a free call)
