The National Women’s Health Survey (NWHS) is an annual survey that explores priority issues in women’s health. The 2026 survey will focus on women’s knowledge and experiences relating to time pressure and personal demands, as well as experience of looking for health or medical information sources and characteristics of health and medical information.
This research is being conducted for Jean Hailes for Women’s Health by The Social Research Centre.
The aim of the study is to find out how women experience time pressure, and how they navigate health information (including where women get their health information from, what they trust, and how they deal with potential misinformation).
If you decide to take part in the research study, we will invite you to complete an online questionnaire. The survey will take approximately 15 minutes. The survey is open until 18 May 2026.

Women aged 18 years or over may be invited to take part in this survey.
This survey will fill key gaps in knowledge about Australian women’s experiences of time pressure at different ages or life stages and help Jean Hailes to understand how women are navigating an increasingly complex health information environment. Ultimately, the findings will help Jean Hailes to identify how to best support women to make informed decisions about their health and could benefit Australian women now and into the future.
Invitations to the online survey will be sent by email and SMS. The survey can be completed online using any device with a web browser (desktop, phone, tablet, etc.).
If you would like to complete online but don’t have your survey link, please contact our helpdesk for assistance on 1800 023 040 (a free call) or email LifeInAus@srcentre.com.au at any time during the study.
