Julie is a social researcher with over 20 years of experience across academia and the not-for-profit sector in Australia. She holds a PhD in political theory. She has taught at several Australian universities and completed her post-doctoral studies in gender pay equity. She is published in critical theory and feminist philosophy. Julie has also worked in mental health advocacy and refugee resettlement. She has led research and evaluation projects focused on early years systems reform, gender equity, refugee resettlement, poverty alleviation, and social inclusion. She is passionate about translating research into practice, developing and leading evaluation and monitoring in social policy, and amplifying diverse voices to inform policy and program design.
