This research is being conducted to understand behaviours, attitudes and knowledge about smoking. To do this, we need to know more about tobacco use among people who smoke or have recently quit, experiences of quitting, their knowledge of health issues related to smoking, and other matters related to tobacco smoking.

Partner

This research is being conducted for Cancer Council Victoria by the Social Research Centre.

 

 

Aims + Outcomes

The information collected in this study will be used by Cancer Council Victoria to develop programs to reduce the incidence and negative impact of smoking among people in Victoria.

FAQs

How do I take part in the survey? 

Cancer Council Victoria has contracted the Social Research Centre to conduct this survey. You may receive an invitation via ORU (the Online Research Unit) regarding this study.

How long will the survey take?

The survey will take about 15 minutes to complete, depending on your answers, and will be available online until 12 December 2025.

Do I have to complete the survey?

The survey is completely voluntary, however your participation is important for researchers to get an accurate understanding of the behaviours and attitudes of people who either smoke, or who have quit sometime in the past year.
